Since you won't have the necessary collateral to back up the loan. However, I will suggest that you make a detailed business plan that shows at a glance what the business idea is, what you intend offering that is better than what already exist in your targeted market and what it will take in terms of resources to achieve success. Type out the business plan and bind it as if you want to submit it to a bank for loan application. When you have done that, get a piece of paper and start listing down all your relatives friends and acquaintances. Just list down as many names as you can remember. Next, take the names one after the other and ask yourself questions such as: (1) Will this person be willing to be a part investor in this business? If yes, what percentage of the business am I willing to sell out in exchange for his/her contribution? (2) If this fellow is not interested in being an investor, how much can he/she give as loan OR even gift to help me jump-start this business? (3) If this fellow can't help in the ways stated above, can he/she introduce or link me up with someone that can help?
